Fetterman had universal name recognition and led every poll from wire to wire. Bernie didn't endorse him until AFTER he won the primary by 30 points. He did not "give us" Fetterman in any meaningful sense.

While Google's AI claims Sanders endorsed Fetterman in that race (and others seemed to have that impression), it was my memory that he never did. Earlier today, I looked around for news articles to settle this matter, found no Sanders endorsement but found this: www.inquirer.com/politics/clo...

There doesn't seem to be any record of it anywhere. Every time anyone provides a source, it's either to Sanders endorsing him back years earlier in the Lt. Governor race or refers to a tour Sanders made in 2022 on behalf of Dem candidates that didn't involve Fetterman.

Yes, it says Sanders endorsed Fetterman in the general but the article to which it links to document t his is the same one I found and referenced above--it's (in part) about how Sanders hadn't heard from Fetterman and hadn't endorsed him.

Yes, and the source that one uses is to one of the many tours on behalf of Dem candidates and causes that Sanders undertakes, which included a stop, in that instance, in Pennsylvania on behalf of Summer Lee--no Fetterman.

As I noted before, Google's AI also says Sanders endorsed Fetterman and there's an inaccurate inclusion on Wiki but there's no record of any endorsement anywhere (which is also how I remembered it). Ballotpedia's very broadlist of Sanders' endorsements over the years doesn't have it either.

Bernie's not perfect but people love his policies. His endorsement recipients are a mixed bag but the good ones are really good
