LA basin air was mucho toxic when I escaped to Santa Barbara in 1971. There everyone had a can of kerosene on their porch for the tar you got walking on the beach. Both are better but they still threaten. Cruise ships in SB harbor, Disnification of lower State Street, bye bye SoCal.
