Sources tell me there’s a post circulating around Meta in which a worker has created a mock SEV, but instead of it being about a software outage, it’s about Meta’s internal morale…
I think it's short for "severity". Like if a thing breaks bad enough that you have to do a whole report on what happened, where the report is classified by the severity of the incident. So like if the whole site went down you'd have to write a SEV-1, and idk maybe a few users getting logged out...
Love it! I hope I get to see it at some point.
Not sure what level they categorized that at, but I suspect there are differing opinions on whether the issue is business impacting.
Stating that back in May, the company discovered that “morale was not propagated from the source (leadership) to one of the downstream systems (the workforce)" and that Meta then used "efficiency practices" in the form of layoffs, which "decreased the number of people with access to low morale.”
It goes on to say the company is running a full post-mortem and addressing the issue with more hackathons and snacks. And concludes with, “I know many of you raised concerns that we’re doing the wrong thing from the start. Those concerns were valid.” Brutal.
Zuck is a greedy ass, selfish nazi sympathizing schmuck and all his products are TOXIC.
One can only hope many very bad things await him including many more huge lawsuit losses. Hard to fathom but he may be worse then fElon Skum.
