Awesome paper! How about role of market size? Small and open markets like Greece or Sweden, have no choice but to speak English to participate in global economy, + don't have economies of scale to justify dubbing. Incentive to use subtitles. Large ones like FRA or DEU have their own large markets...

When we control for the size of the country (in terms of population), results are unaffected.
