Unsuprisingly, the protests in Tripoli were mainly a poltical stunt. The Souq al-Joumaa Social Movement, the group leading the nightly protests put out a statement saying they were halting it. Why? The armed faction that they are affiliated with were re-granted control of parts of central Tripoli
natasha iilovNot to mention that the power grid is beginning to fail pretty badly during a heatwave, and there have been mainly protests in western Libya, despite most of the power outages being in the east somewhat muddying the waters of what is real protest and what is for show. There is genuine anger though.
