You understand that the person in charge of the Department of Justice, the ones who would be bringing indictments, is.... trump. Right? And the only people who can check trump's power lawfully are either Congress, who decided not to indict him on clear charges during his first term, and SCOTUS.

In essence you're asking why the criminal and his coconspirators haven't investigated and arrested the criminal.

Basically i'm saying Democrats should initiate impeachment action & put the meat on the table going into November. I realize nothing would happen, but the fact that it's on the table going into November may help. It'll demonstrate to voters the Democrats are ready to take down the son of a b****.

Good news, they already have. Those articles of impeachment can't come up for a vote because republicans control the House, but they've been drafted and introduced.
