This changes if N'Diaye leaves, but if we have a limited budget, I'd much rather see us spend it on full backs, and utilise existing midfielders in the number 6 position. Garner, Armstrong, and Iroegbunam can all play there, and unless we're paying big money, are we actually improving on them?

It’s the easiest position on the field, stopping others from playing, you just need to be quick and fit. Don’t make out that this type of players are world class because they’re not.

I really don't think it is. Requires positional discipline, game nous and a range of technical and physical skills - mobility, physicality, ability to receive and pass. It's why we're seeing big fees for players like that this summer

The No. 6 is so important to get right, they need to have a good engine and awareness. Protecting the back line, aswell as keeping the team balance Not an easy position to fill Paddy is it.

Agreed, we have to get a very good one, especially if Tark and Keane play! We must be able to source a good player, even on loan

It would be great to get another 6, but honestly, Garner can do this job very well, has good mobility and is a better passer than Gana. I think we need other positions filled before this one. (Iroegbunam is a decent backup to Garner too, needs to work more on his passing though)

Remember Allan in that position? Gana much better, we’ll miss him if we don’t find a new replacement. My only complaint with Gana was his blasts into the crowd
