If one believes that nothing about a tax amnesty for Trump and his family or a slush fund for Trump’s rioters is legitimate, one might see conceding any of it as a surrender to Trump. This is @harrylitman.bsky.social’s view. I agree with it. Cornyn and Tillis were just putting on a show.
