The 51-year-old woman who died Tuesday after colliding with a gate on the 1st Avenue South Bridge has been identified as Janine Cross. Our condolences to her friends and family. Janine was riding a Letric XPLite northbound in the biking and walking path of the bridge shortly before noon when she "struck the bridge gate," according to a Washington State Patrol press memo (PDF).
