There. Are. No. Trans. Women. In. The. WNBA. This whole conversation is a racist trap and long circuitous argument that always comes back to insulting cisgender Black women by calling them not women. In particular it attacks: Brittany Griner, Liz Cambage, and A'Ja Wilson.

Curious, how do you know?

Because there are no WNBA players that had "male" on their birth certificates.

There are 15 WNBA teams, with a maximum of 12 players per team. It's fucking trivial to investigate 180 players. Are you really saying that finding the current 180 players on the WNBA rosters is difficult?

The silly argument starts with transphobes saying that even the most skilled women basketball players can't beat much less skilled men and boys, because the height, speed, and athleticism advantage is too much to overcome. Then trans allies point out that some cis women have the same advantages.

The trans allies point out that 6'3 former college men's basketball players even struggle in 1 v 1 against 6'8 Liz Cambage, not just because she is tall. Other women are tall. But she can move, is deceptively fast, and can dunk with ease. The size and power combination are difficult to overcome.

Also, like, that's how the NBA works too??? Like literally a team led by an unusually short for the NBA star player beat a team led by an unusually tall star player in the championship a month ago?

What about Brittney Griner?
