It’s all gone a bit European super league hasn’t it? Can’t see how he survives as fifa president now (the UN beckons right? 😫)

oh he probably will survive, albeit as a diminished figure - there's no challenger lined up against him

TFW you are so allegedly corrupt and manifestly incompetent that commentators start doing Sepp Blatter revisionism (/s)

cannot believe you added "allegedly" as if Infantino's lawyers were waiting in the wings to Carter Fuck you

Some part of "the last days of X and context collapse leading to the dumbest replies imaginable and subsequent defensive writing" brain never died...

I really hope someone does a definitive warts and all biography of Blatter one day. If nothing else he’s an absolutely fascinating character

His corruption seems so old school compared to Infantino. Jack Warner handing out money in brown envelopes!

Some will call this revisionism, but if you listen to him it’s clear Blatter genuinely cared about football and believed he was doing what was necessary for the greater good (an interesting factoid is that he had his eyes on winning the Nobel Peace Prize)

Additionally, and this is definitely revisionism, there are people more knowledgeable than me who say there were some lines Blatter would never cross and, while this speculation, that he wouldn’t have tolerated things like Omar Artan being denied entry to the US or the mistreatment of the Iran team
