According to N2YO data, 12 out of 16 satellites from the 1st batch have reached their working altitude of 550 km. They pass over Ukraine 4 times a day, but only 2-3 passes are high enough to connect with ground terminals.
A second batch of 16 satellites was launched in late July. By October-November, they are expected to double the communication windows. At this pace, Russia will launch a 4th batch by March 2027, achieving 24/7 satellite coverage over Ukraine by mid-summer 2027.
