And they’re all mediocre athletes. Not using that pejoratively; the few trans girls on school teams are just factually average non-elite athletes who are playing for fun, like most athletes. The “unfair advantage” is a strawman.

Yep, this is statistically true. Trans women actually do terribly in women’s sports, statistically speaking. Fun fact: trans men do significantly better in men’s sports than trans women do in women’s sports. 2x as many trans men have qualified for the Olympics as trans women.
