I needed to change my brake pads, and decided to save some money (and not bother my mechanic friend who helped me before) and do it myself. I'm fairly good with cars, but never really messed with the brakes and definitely didn't know the details for my current car.

So I searched for help. I found a Pontiac Owners forum where a guy had posted a well written easy to follow guide. He included pictures to show which bolts to remove, how to use a C clamp to retract the caliper piston, etc. he even labeled each image to refer to them in the proper place in the text.

And like, man, the internet used to be so good. This was posted in 2010, and was just perfect. This is the kinda shit we lost by moving away from forums. At least Reddit still often has helpful folks, but when everything is on Discord, it becomes impossible to find.
