Is the 2400 Motel unionized and they’re opposing it because they don’t want to lose the jobs? I thought their political strategy was to oppose new hotels because they’re generally nonunion…but I don’t see any new hotel in this plan.

It seems like they are trying to filibuster/delay *everything* now, probably because council has limited time at the moment (so, delays cascade into hotel approvals and this potentially gives them more leverage)

They've basically gone full-PHIMBY, and are opposing any residential development without required IZ too
