Dumb? Having seen previous migration scare stories, I don’t think that the people hyping such stories are dumb enough to believe them. Like the pre-Brexit targeted Facebook ads claiming Turkey would to join the EU & its population would relocate en masse to the UK, this is cynical disinformation.
