I think it has smth to do with that they used to just be tufts of hair/fur, and also theyre probably just easier to animate when you dont have to worry about a direction, haha. Anyway, theyre very fun to draw more realistically :D

Hummm yeah but idk, sometimes because of that it's even hard to understand the true movement of the ears in the show, i don't think it would have been a hassle to do compared to doing Vox's head in full 360° 😂 It's just an artistic choice i think. And yeah, i do appreciate drawing them that way too!
