What's up with the Geese flying over my property. There has been 3 or 4 sets of 30 or more geese in the last 3 days. Isn't it too early for them?? Do you suppose they are trying to tell us winter will be early this year?

They could be there. The geese haven't arrived here, yet. Too hot. But they often fly overhead to get to Bitter Lakes (not really lakes, lately)& then hours later fly back by to their resting place.

They could be trying to tell us something. I remember a fall 30-some years ago when the local zoo employees talked about how all the animals were putting on thick coats, gaining weight, and damn! If we didn't have the winter from Dante's Hell that year.

I totally get ya! We had two polar vortexes last winter each lasting for weeks. I spent days walking around my own house wearing those gloves with the fingertips that you could move so you could swipe screens! Indoors!

Hopefully it comes sooner rather than later. I’m tired of cutting the grass.

It might be because of all the wildfires up in Canada. The wetlands where the geese breed are in some of the fire affected areas and the smoke could possibly be forcing them to migrate early.
