If you can't find any HEPA filters, MERV 13 or greater will also filter out smoke particles very well. Not all HVAC systems can handle them but you can always tape a cube of them together with a box fan. I'm near Spokane which is currently burning down and the air quality is abysmal, stay safe

thank you! i luckily have a lot of n95 masks on hand, but they can only do so much. i'm in an apartment and can't do much about the vents / AC so all i'm keeping all doors and windows shut and hoping my plants take care of the rest ;;
