its disgusting to see how companies truly view animation, a mere tool for profit instead of the art form it truly is. it's so ironic in toei's case because one piece's art direction recently has been absolutely awe-inspiring. you just cant replace the people behind animation or art as a whole

i can't stress enough that ANIMATION IS ART! even if it's a long, tedious process to do. as hard as people try to say otherwise, there is no right or wrong way to animate if you're actually making it instead of letting a neural network do it for you, sucking out any expression in the process

dont stress about trying to be like disney. dont worry about sticking to every single principal like it's the ten commandments. please just create for yourself and experience the delight that comes from the simple act of seeing your characters come to life through motion. let that alone be special

Animation is just a bunch of art pieces that move and i have to say this more than pisses me off as an animator. Animators have been creating entertainment for years and some of the stuff theese AI bros grew up on like fricking- Phibus&Ferb idk, yet they like to think it can be replaced by a robot..

I remember as a little kid watching people like Code Bullet and CaryKH make videos on neural networks and how they mock human learning very loosely. Then it was insanely cool and impressive because you had to do it all yourself! Now it's been overhyped, overused, over-monetized, and is soulless...
