-wave that has a direct effect on ether: sound. Now, sound isn't electromagnetism, but it is a wave, which resonates at specific frequencies. Light and sound are similar-ish in this way, and it makes sense that both would react with a property like ether.

ZZZ also has a strong movie theme. It's in everything from the tapes we 'tune' to pull for agents, to the protagonists being movie buffs running a video tape store. And what are two very important aspects to making movies? Light and sound.

In conclusion: I was just gonna say 'oh porcelloy is a porcelume alloy' and then kinda kept typing. Hi! Also, Porcelloy being a porcelume alloy would mean there's another material involved. 'Flint porcelloy' originally made me think that other material was flint, but turns out that's just branding.

Ok this movie thing ties a really nice bow on all this, holy shit I *have* been wondering how Remielle does it seemingly without sound and since she uses light this would make it make sense!

Yeah, I kinda just started looking at the possible etymology of porcelloy, and suddenly found myself in a kitchen, cooking. Honestly surprised myself.
