He was a "Person with Significant Control" of the limited company that was the Reform party at the time. Not a chance can he argue he was not involved in politics.

‘George Cottrell was involved in the deal, supervising the process in March and April 2024. He was with Farage in mid-May when he presented its contents to Mehrash A'zami, the party's treasurer, in an office space near Buckingham Palace.’
