Yeah this take of Hurley's is...non-ideal. What I'd add to Brightbill's criticism here is that this is an ourobouros of Online-ness. By being so Online, one was *highly* exposed to the even more Extremely Online far-right freakout, leading one to overindex on it.
Kathryn Brightbill ✒️This is a completely bonkers take, because there was zero outrage marketing for The Odyssey, Elliott Page and Lupita Nyong'o were barely in any promotional anything for the film. It's basically saying that trans people and Black people should be erased from Hollywood, but wokely.
