I used to ask my students (1st year uni) if they'd seen CASABLANCA. They hadn't; in fact, none of them remembered ever seeing a black and white movie. None of mine this year had seen ALIENS. I've stopped asking. I wish I was teaching film history so I could show them what they were missing.
