Perfect tiny bee! 🐝 Alfalfa leafcutter bee, a male Megachile rotundata, chilling on a mountain mint blossom. It’s a nice cool day so he was very cooperative and stayed still while I took a billion shots 😅

Yep -- in fact, to blow your mind even more, almost all plants have flowers! They're the reproductive organs. Exceptions are ferns, mosses, and conifers. But really it's usually a matter of finding the flowers rather than the plant having them.

Setup: OM-1 Mark II camera, Godox V480 flash, AK diffuser, M.Zuiko 60mm 1:2.8 macro lens (somewhat regretting not springing for the 90mm…). Very popular system so I followed in many footsteps!
