UPDATE on the Somalia TPS challenge: Judge Burroughs has now made it clear that she wants it to be in the same posture as the other Massachusetts fed'l court cases, issuing a new order creating a new administrative stay to take effect once the mandate in the appeal discussed below comes to her.

That case is in a little different posture, b/c Burroughs refused to lift a pre-existing administrative stay, as opposed to granting a new one. DOJ appealed that denial to the First Circuit. DOJ: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us... Opposition: storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

This is very technical, but potentially important for those litigating, so I wanted to note it. But, generally, tl;dr, TPS for Ethiopia, Somalia, and South Sudan remains protected for now due to administratively stays issued by three different federal district court judges in Massachusetts.
