Yes, women are oppressed by colonialism & post colonialism BUT They are also oppressed by religion everywhere Major religions are steeped in patriarchy Whether it’s Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism etc - women are always the lesser sex Atheism please, or bring back the Goddesses
