21 June 1639 #OTD Alice Thornton’s father, Christopher Wandesford, wrote his 3rd letter to her from Dublin while she was ‘into England at the Bath'. She had travelled with her mother, aged 13, to Bristol where the water at St Vincent's Rock was thought to have curative properties. #EarlyModern 🗃️
