Ellie Barnes is a badass!

So grateful that we have stellar and committed researchers like Professor Barnes working on this. Especially during these challenging and insane times when vaccines and research are under assault by this authoritarian administration.

Good luck 🙏

Brilliant Good on her

Thank you for your scientific research and persistence!

when people are cured from disease; they dont ask their doctor to take a lie detector test! they are grateful to be alive! same with vaccines! they keep us all alive!!!!!!! in my non medical opinion; autism is a genetic abnormality! already there from conception! not a vaccine issue!

🙏

May the road rise up to meet you...

Good luck Professor Barnes🤞🤞

Bloody US spelling...

I'm not sure it's a US/UK divide. Fowler’s Modern English Usage (originally H.W. Fowler, 1926; now New Fowler’s Modern English Usage, Oxford University Press). Fowler called “preventative” a “needless lengthening,” and declared preventive the proper form.

I cannot say I have ever heard "preventive" used anywhere.

FromAI (which echoes my view). "OED includes a usage note under “preventative,” labelling it a secondary/less standard variant of “preventive,” reflecting the Fowler judgment. This is about as authoritative and British as it gets for word-status questions, and it’s citable independently of Fowler."

Never trust AI for anything. It always gets it wrong.

It gives a source. You wanna check the source? Can you cite as authoritative a source that contradicts Fowler and the OED?

"It" might always be wrong, but if its references check out, it's hard to argue. As well as Fowler, and the OED, there's Gowers' "The Complete Plain Words", and the Oxford Style Guide (OUP) which says "The usual form is preventive; preventative is a needless variant." I'm convinced.

Keep up the good work and fire RFK

Thank you!!🩷

Ellie is the definition of a true hero ♥️.

But let’s have our health science in the hands of a drug addled litigation lawyer, conspiracy theorist.

It's a woman she'll nail it.
