In the landmark 1972 Bobigny trial, Tunisian-French lawyer Gisèle Halimi defended a 16-year-old girl who had an abortion after being raped. The trial was public & helped pave the way for the 1975 Veil Law, which decriminalized abortion in France. She was born #OTD in 1927. #WomensRights #LawSky
