Yeh agree. Thought it was weird for Tuchel’s assistant to say at half time that premier league power and fitness would break Argentina down in second half - they totally outran us (plus Kane and Bellingham don’t even play in the PL!)

MacAllister was horrendous for Liverpool this year - he runs even less than Kane. I think it’s a classic case of good but not spectacular international players pulling it out of the bag for the national jersey, with a heavy dose of world class ability from Messi

On paper they’re not world class at all - they just run really hard and their star player showed up! Agree it’s brilliant to get to the semis but in terms of quality we’re the better team and we need to wrestle with why that never translates into quality performances

He’s a good presser for someone who turns with all the agility of a small locomotive

Harry Kane has a few world class qualities but he’s also a massive liability. Totally inhibits a high press, seems to go missing for almost entire matches, and is useless when you’re trying to defend a lead. He can destroy DR Congo, but he flops, often quite catastrophically, against big teams
