I do trust the animators and rhe artists who claim to have not used ai and who are against ai, but what folks were upset about is still true and was still shown at a official promotion at a con, yahknow?

I guess im just frustrsted by folks trying to dismiss concerns of gen ai use in the pipeline because it wasnt in the animation? No one even said it was in the animation. The disappointment has always been in the chatgpt research and I feel like folks keep trying to sweep those concerns under the rug

Yeah thats what I meant, sorry. The trust is kinda gone at this point. Its possible the animators didn't even know, and it sucks that that stain will be on the project, but... yeah, the whole thing is sus. I cant belive that sideshow wouldnt have had to go through an approval process either?

No one was upset thinking the animation was ai. People were upset that someone used ai, which has a known racism problem, to do cultural research, instead of hiring people to do that respectfully. So nothing has changed.
