You know how the writer of your fave show mentions the 🙄 notes they got from the studio? It’s me, hi. Currently on: Star Trek and Murderbot. Previously: Ghosts, CSI: Vegas, Equalizer, American Vandal, Criminal Minds, Black-ish, among others.

With this week, we hope SFA has done a good job of showing where it’ll live in the first 6 eps. There’s gonna be action & drama; humor & heartbreak. There’s going to be hope & the dark to challenge it. There’s going to be classic stories & telling in a way specific to SFA. Hope you enjoy! (2/2)

He does really great work! #spoilers: I love the subtle reveal of the museum cameo. And the reaction shot of the gang after the first punch kills me every time. So many great small touches.

Slight #spoilers: Even if you don’t know DS9, the team did a great job of also just telling a story about a kid whose parents say she needs to be one thing, but now at college she’s realizing she wants to be something else. Just love how it works on both levels.

I need to tell the P+ team to serve that up as the “play next” option on the platform.

Larry is a longtime partner of ours at the studio but new to #StarTrek. I worry about overhype, but with his, Kirsten, & Tawny’s powers combined, I do think they made a special story. So relatable to anyone trying to find themselves. And so heartfelt for anyone who loves tacky eyesores. Enjoy! (2/2)

I wouldn't be surprised but not certain. I feel like everyone’s instinct is to try & confirm beta canon & other media where possible vs contradict. Funny enough, the materials I see usually doesn’t describe the ships in these scenes so I also get to do the Leo Point once I see the completed VFX.

So well deserved! Congrats John! 🖖

Well said. To joy and fookin whimsy!

I think Gaia & Eric wrote a lovely episode that is classically Trek in its plot, but from a specific POV and framing device that is unique to the SFA setting. We talked a lot with the writers about playing with that ratio in S1 and I really love the balance they found here. Hope you enjoy. 🖖 2/2

Alex and Kiley really did a great job with this scene! We talked a lot in s1 about teaching the audience “how to watch the show,” and this episode does a good job of saying, “we’re going to tell you a story you may not have seen in Trek, but the message at its core is going to be very Trek.” 🖖

The challenge a new show faces is that it’s not just competing with other new shows but with it’s competing with every show ever made now. That amount of choice can be challenging! Sometimes I just turn on Trek on PlutoTV because I don’t want to have to choose. Hope enjoy when you can. 🖖
