As long as the fossil fuel companies (& Labour donors) are still making a fortune, apparently everything is ok.
Any problems, Burnham just blames the vulnerable & immigrants - oh, and Palestine Action protesters. It's like we haven't changed gov't for decades. It's all just continued downhill.
And someone in power who actually does what they are supposed to - stand up for the majority of people in the UK, not just the billionaires and businesses.
Burnham will be bought by the highest price, & that appears to be the fossil fuel co's.
It really isn't anything to do with jobs. The "more jobs" message is for the consumption of the general public.
He will continue to be vague about what he is going to do, then do what his paymasters tell him.
Also subsidies. Not that they should be banned, but they should be re-evaluated. I see so much money going to large companies to bolster profits - including supermarket chains & industrial farming.
They are benefits paid to industry, called by a different name to avoid scrutiny.
Burnham wants water to remain privatised. He wants a franchise model, similar to the bus deal set up on Manchester. Likewise other utilities.
I suspect the MP's calling for it are either sicophants looking after their careers, or "manufactured" by Burnham to enable his policy to move forward.
All donations should be removed from politics. Elections should be government funded - if the billionaires want to help, then they can donate to the shared pot.
Anything else is an open door for corruption.
(lobbyists should also be banned totally)
The change of leadership doesn't matter if the same policies are followed. Lots of leaks about things that are being considered, but in the main, the policies demanded by labour party donors (and LFoI) are still very much being adhered to.
We need to replace them.
