I didn't mention at the time, but I got to watch through Gundam Unicorn a couple weeks back while visiting my partner. Her enthusiasm definitely buoyed it, and it's often quite visually impressive, but not terribly substantive. Sometimes thoughtful, sometimes silly, but ultimately mostly froth.
