Oh - If you’re going to do one specific house/castle/small cluster of houses then you might also want to check out Tiny Glade which looks sooooo pretty!

Oooooo these are good! I use Scrivener to collate my note taking - have a separate project devoted to ideas. I use Freeform for making book maps & mind maps - highly recommend. I’m big on Pinterest too. And Townscaper for making a detailed layout of any towns. Here’s the town from my current WIP…
