Imagine if the Steam Frame, the Steam Machine, and the Steam Controller had all been able to launch on the same day, at the price points they were originally targeting. I bet Valve is furious that their big swing toward a hardware ecosystem beyond Deck, years of work, was upended so messily.

Of course, we didn't fully know at the time just how much Charles did like to ramble as Mario and how off-the-rails it tends to go, until some of the trade show videos came out. They kept him locked down to tiny clips of speech for so long that when they did let him speak at length, it felt weird:
