Hard disagree. Comedies I grew up on aged fine: Tommy Boy, GhostBusters, Spaceballs, Men in Tights. Animal House has aged less well It's almost like a movie primarily ages badly if it contains rapey, misogynistic or bigoted humor that was never truly ok. True comedy is timeless
Nils GilmanComedy ages incredibly badly. I mean which 40+ year old comedy movies hold up? I can only think of a handful: Annie Hall. Some Like It Hot. Dr. Strangelove. Young Frankenstein. That’s about it. I like Philadelphia Story & It Happened One Night, but I doubt anyone under age 40 could tolerate these.
The democratic platform for 2026-28 literally should just be ending new centers and prosecuting the current administration and they'd win both elections in a landslide. Kinda insane they haven't made it the platform. Just shows they don't truly care about winning
