I'm so bummed. And scared. I had lunch with an employee at DOT today. This person painted a scary picture of Doge boys and higher ups deregulating, bypassing policy, and just "falling in line" with what they are asked to do. Very Stanley Milgram. Im really unsettled.

I'm ready to quit this country. This comes from a girl who grew up as a foreign service kid, living to proudly promote and be an example of the best of the United States. It hurts right now, seeing how institutions are failing, courts are becoming impotent, civil rights are disappearing. Sad. So sad
