Not sure what to make of this forecast. I can pretty well guarantee that a democrat will not be elected to congress from Alaska. But that doesn’t mean a republican will win—or even that I believe their forecasts are connected to reality, if they don’t know about the details of the race.

Last night we were watching some YouTube videos, and we turned one on that was supposed to be some art history. My 18yo immediately said “turn it off, this is AI”. The kids are all right. And better, apparently, than I am in clocking AI.

Around 1860, infant mortality in southern states of what is now Germany (German unification was in 1871) was 20-30%. 200-300 deaths for every 1000 infants born. At the same time in England, the rate was "only" 10-15%. There are a few reasons for this, but a fundamental one was SUGAR TITS. 😬
