this weather got me thinking about if i ever get a house, first thing i'm doing is training so many native vines up and over that thing. the sun can feed that shit instead of making my house hot if it's got a flat roof, i'm growing plants up there. i want a turf/underground house so bad

ie you are going to want to put them in a big bowl or dish, you WILL get water buildup AC doesn't reach our bedroom so i just keep switching out several frozen 2L bottles i keep in ice cream buckets. the fan circulates it around the room, works like a charm tho i gotta empty the buckets daily

remember, a good trick is filling empty soda bottles with water (up to about 75% full), tightening the cap and freezing them in your freezer. put as many in there as you can fit loosely. when you pull them out and put them near a fan, they work as both an imprompt AC and a dehumidifier

oh shit you don't have a working AC huh fuck, what places *have* one that are gonna stay open for a bit?? you should go to one of those for awhile and read a manga or something

memories of being a security guard/dispatcher at Raging Waters in San Jose in '15. there were days when it'd hit 109f/43c and the only AC was in my shitty little office, so i'd start stuffing lifeguards passing out in there to the point the AC would start breaking and make the stands give me ice

they're really gonna leave us only with the 'heroic' choices on dealing with this shit, huh
