I keep waffling between 'my art is the best its ever been' and 'bro I hate my style' to the sound of the IM ALIVE. im dead. IM ALIVE AGAIN. Every 5 minutes the audio clip changes 😭

They say books won’t change the world. Tell that to every colonizer who burned them. To every enslaved person who was punished for reading. Literacy is resistance. Literacy is liberation. The library is a battlefield.

Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.

I don’t think we appreciate little Caesar’s breadsticks enough out loud. They’re just so consumable.

crazy how modern AAA video games will crunch underpaid employees half to death and burn millions of dollars to try and make a photorealistic animated movie when all of the most impactful moments i've experienced in games had nothing to do with visual fidelity but in how gameplay elevated the story

This is insane how gorgeous the colors are. And sorry but kinda a crazy contrast to see this so full of life and energy being the polar opposite of the -100 brightness shots I’ve seen from the live action 😭

FINALLY i can share that I got to work on this film! And what an experience it was! Thank you again to team avatar for bringing me on, I feel like i grew so much during my time on the the project as an artist and director under the amazing tutelage of Steve, Lauren, Ryu and my fellow board mates.

Only doing it to expect artwork from others of a high caliber is entirely against the point of the whole thing. It’s entirely about giving art, not receiving it.

underrated advice that i wish i'd figured out way earlier in my digital art life: if your drawing software lets you adjust your pen pressure so you can make more varied line weights without using a lot of pressure, DO IT!!! cut off the end of that pressure curve!!!

The best way to enjoy any sport is to not know enough even to the point of not knowing which team is which and then just thinking it looks cool when stuff happens
