It was Rogan, in the interview, who pushed the gun line (“and you guys can’t even defend yourselves” etc in the context of the British state arrested people like Lucy Connelly). Lowe picked it up, but in a sort of country gent sport way (mentions clay pigeons etc as well)

That makes sense — then again, he defends gun ownership because his father was a champion handgun shot at Oxford University back in the day, and because he’s a farmer (he invited Rogan to come pheasant shooting with him)
