An idyllic summer day. Tranquil. Reminds me of many summers in Maine.

The right has convinced many people that anyone different from themselves is the issue. They love this culture war BS. Most people want a job, food, insurance, and a roof over their head but end up caught in the culture wars, which hurts us all.

Not sure there is a return to normalcy coming. Agreed, this country had a lot to fix pre-Trump. But at least the government wasn’t actively trying to be a menace and break this country.

It wasn’t all good, not by a long shot. But at least we weren’t so polarized. This Trump cult and a government turned against common people is not where I want to be.

We’ll see.

If the question is why won’t the left carry Dems to victory, it’s because not every place is New York, New England, or California. A Mamdani can win in NYC. That’s not happening in swing states or purple states. He has good ideas but they don’t translate everywhere.

For people who just want to live their lives and pretty much could do just that before Trump came on the scene.

I don’t have the answers. But I believe a strategy of telling voters how bad the right is will not be a winning message for Dems. We need someone who is for all of us, who realizes that this country needs change, and who has a realistic platform that appeals to a broad base. Good luck to us all.

I don’t wholly disagree, but I can’t see the left carrying Dems to victory, either. If the next Dem presidential nominee can’t carry the middle or independents - hello President Vance/Rubio.

It’s laughable that all the talking heads pre-2024 were telling us that Trump hates war. He may hate “declaring “ war, but this “excursion” is on the fast path to becoming a decade long debacle. This will become the problem if the next president, who hopefully has a plan to end this mistake.

This is like a queer eye and deliverance mashup. All we need in a banjo and a pitcher of mojitos.

He’s getting this jet upgraded on the taxpayers’ dime and will abscond with it once he is out of office - which can’t come soon enough. This jet will be a rotting shell sitting in NJ or some Florida boneyard at some point.

What an embarrassments. These guys deserve a chance to celebrate without having Trump lurk around waiting to be invited into their moment of victory. You just know he would’ve made their moment about himself.

Trump justifies this contradiction by saying he won by many more votes than he actually did against Kamala Harris. We are to believe that these evil forces gave votes to Harris and that Trump actually won by a landslide. His relatively small victory is because of voter fraud. “I won big.”

The haphazard way he releases documents which contradict his very words shows contempt for Americans and underscores how inept he is at making well thought out arguments based on fact. If there is a more prolific conman who has existed throughout history I don’t know who that person is.
