got my first few cherry tomatoes from the garden today! 🎉 i actually have a teeny pepper on one not-hot habanero - the other has lots of flowers, so they're both doing so much better than the habanada failures of the past couple years. and i'll have some fresno peppers soon! great veggie year!

Last night’s salad: lettuce, cucumber, red plums, halloumi croutons, a honey-lime vinaigrette with red onions. Planned to throw some fresh herbs on but forgot. Didn’t need them! 🍽️🍜

Fried eggplant pizza! Made with eggplants from my garden. 🍽️🍜

Went to our favorite Italian place this weekend. Carbonara, Neapolitan pizza, angioletti, and cannolo. They never disappoint. 🍜🍽️

on the one hand, it's a great time to have planted way too much lettuce AND have a CSA share from a local farm. on the other hand, how am i supposed to eat all this lettuce before it goes bad?!?!?

I dreamed that @planetx.bsky.social was writing a Green Arrow comic. ok, seems normal, within the realm of possibility. But in the same dream there was also an Absolute Green Onion comic (yes an actual scallion) so don’t think my dreams aren’t completely bonkers sometimes too.

Had about an hour of thunderstorms around 4am, thought I’d try to get an hour of sleep before the usual wake up time, then all the planes are taking off from PDX right over the house. So much for sleep! I’m sure it will be fine. 🥱
