As someone who grew up in New Hampshire I think Democrats should pay more attention to polling in South Carolina. Polling in one of the whitest states in the country is a poor indicator for how the Democratic primaries actually turn out.

We really need to have a thoughtful debate about the consequences of single payer healthcare in a politically fractured country and I don't know how to make it happen.

Like maybe healthcare for *everyone* is more complicated than healthcare for people outside of reproductive age. We still have legislation banning public funds for abortion. Maybe start there.

I would like people to look at what's going on with gender affirming healthcare and reproductive healthcare and reconsider how Medicare For All would even work in practice. A public option was the right idea.
