It was a dark character with neon markings, backlit in neon colors, on a busy neon background, and so compressed the palette was useless. I almost canceled it, thinking they were a troll.

I've only ever had issues with bad ref sheets, myself. Only had to ask for a second ref once, thankfully. But the first one was completely unusable and actually painful to look at. The character was fun to paint once I could tell what they were.

Put small stickers on it so Chili can see that there's glass? I know there's special uv? ones for windows so birds don't fly into them.
