& returning to the go point, I don't think giving into total dommerism re: conservation is very constructive. like there has to be a place between doomerism & denial which imo are both unproductive

I know abt that, just lived through the heat wave in Paris & it was pretty awful. idk why you assume I don't think things will be bad? just, acknowledging the not-cinematic nature of climate change is p important to discussing it

mangroves too. which are entire trees. those things spread their weird seeds like crazy, if you've ever been on a beach in the tropics. prob good to keep them around for as long as possible so newly coast-ified areas can be mangroved & provide space for whatever little freaks thrive in that habitat

1 would assume at least some coastline animals/bugs, annuals & smaller perennials would end up re-establishing themselves on whatever becomes 'coastline' next, so it's nice to still have viable populations of those? not a biologist though
