We were depressed about tonight's offering of July 3rd celebrations on the tube. Hubs and I picked Andy and Anderson. GREAT choice. It's been delightful.

50 years ago, I was so giddy about celebrating our 200th birthday. No wars. We had attained monumental rights for so many citizens of this great nation. Fifty years later it's as if a trap door has opened beneath our feet and swallowed every gain we attained. I'm sitting out this Fourth.

How cathartic was Late Night tonight? Dave and Stephen together. Dropping shit from to top of the theater. Letterman signing off with "In the words of the great Edward R. Murrow, goodnight and fuck CBS!" Thank you to two of the greatest late night comedy hosts ever.

When is a third of this country finally going to see it's trying to kill it's comfortable existence? Fucking nut jobs.
